Okay, apparently we're in year five but whatever.

Ben, Noah is telling me to tell you he is sorry he hit you in the face (!!!!!?) and he wishes he hadn't done it and he's still not ready to talk but he's sorry for the face-slapping.

He hit you in the FACE?! Mmmm. It's a good thing he's crippled or I might get slappy too. ...don't worry, I won't slap your son.

He's doing okay. He actually ate something today because Peter threw a hissy and Noah didn't want to see more Peter!dramatics. Daria helped cheer him up too. I'm heading over there in about an hour and then I am coming to see you and don't tell me no!

Have you eaten anything?

I'm glad he's doing somewhat alright, despite everything.

Yes, he hit me which was... bracing, shall we say, as I don't want to go any further into what it was. But I don't hold it against him. I love him and he was angry. Not that I'm condoning face slapping.

Oh, I think he's quite horrified at the face-slapping, considering he's a pacifist. I'll tell him you don't hold it against him. And that if he has another other messages to convey, I am not a fricking carrier pigeon, and he can tell you himself.

Oh, I'm eating. Sometimes it's peanut butter out of the jar, but I'm eating. Without the kids to cook for it seems a bit pointless to actually cook.
