You're a wonder. There aren't many people who come to almost-ends and are absolutely-okay about it. I am not okay with it. I worry about what the world can do to the people I love. Still, the world has a pretty tough opponent in you and if it were to come down to a final battle I know who I'd have my money on.

When we were in our old place, and the lease was running out, Joss wanted to stay there. He got a bit sullen-teenager about it (and I gotta say I miss that cos that I knew he'd pull out of, anyway...) and muttered something about "you just want to shack up with Serenity."

And I thought yeah, I do. Maybe not in quite the way he meant it, but I knew I wanted to live with you. I knew that nothing could be better. Even the rent-free thing came second on the list of reasons why living here was going to be good for me. Because you're here. And I knew I wanted to build my life around you being there. Because you're the heart and the core of everything as well.

So don't ever worry, because I know exactly what you're saying when you're being silly and flippant and sarcastic, and I love you too.
